Brooke Kramer, a financial aid officer with Argosy University in Salt Lake City, talks about how to apply for a dance scholarship.
The first thing you’re going to do is first check out what types of scholarships are available at your note university or college geared specifically towards students.
The next is when you’re in your undergraduate degree, or even in high school, really start your dance career. You want to get a lot of practice in and you want to make yourself very much eligible for those scholarships.
You need to keep a good grade point average and possibly do some community service or some leadership activities. A lot of scholarships not only look at what you do for specifically dancing but also what you do in other portions of your life.
Next, talk to a recruiter or a coach from a university to find out what they’re looking for in a student.
